Now, as always, it is so important to raise your voice and push the energy of the people to the forefront. We are honored to have contributed a strings arrangement and recording to this powerful, beautiful song by Andre Henry.
From Andre, on how the song came to be: “A few weeks ago, I invited anyone on the Internet to sing on my next single called “People of the World.” I knew that no matter what an individual’s talent level is that once there were enough voices it would sound fine. What I didn’t realize is how moving this piece would be when it all came together. I listened to so many recordings of kids, families, and ordinary folks send me their recording of this chorus and it was just precious hearing people sing with sincerity, introduce their families, and try out different approaches. I can’t wait for you all to hear it. There’s also so much rich symbolism in this project about what we can accomplish when we work together. I can’t wait to share more about the connections between art-making and justice work, and of course the full track. Thanks to everyone who joined in. This is *you* on the track!”
